My sincerest thanks to those people without whom this history would have been incomplete.  Each helped make this an interesting project for me.  They include Rotarians Gene Jameson and Jeffrey Brown who recognized the need for a history of the Rotary Club of Las Cruces and initiated the project; the staff of the Rio Grande Historical Collections/Hobson-Huntsinger University Archives, New Mexico State University; and three Rotarians who truly embody the spirit of Rotary and who agreed to be interviewed for this history:  Bill Erwin, Ralph Stucky, and Leo Valdes.  The meticulous preservation of Rotary material by long-time Rotary secretary and historian Alec Hood was also extremely appreciated.  Thanks also to my parents and Professor Emeritus Lynn Moncus for diligent proofreading.  All photographs utilized within this history are taken from the Rotary scrapbook, housed in the Rio Grande Historical Collections at the New Mexico State University library.  Cover design courtesy of Ted Shelton. --Jennifer Holberg --
